HOW DOES IT WORK?
PERMANENT FAT DISSOLVING / FAT VOLUME REMOVAL - hugely popular and suitable for a BMI below 30 and particularly for pockets of fat accumelating over the lower/ upper abdomen, inner legs , breast and back rolls.
This entail the injection of Phosphatidylcholin into areas of access adipose (fat) tissue. The injected active agent phosphatidylcholine is a lecithin which contains two unsaturated fatty acids ( Linoleic- and alpha Linoleic acids ) extracted from the soya plant.
Phosphatidylcholine is a body own product, produced by the body itself, but which includes saturated fatty acids ( Palmitic-, Oleic- and Stearic-acid ). It is found in all cell membranes and is highly concentrated in the membrane of liver cells and adipocytes(fat containing cells). The double layer of the adipocite's membrane dissolves itself - THE CELL AS WELL AS HE NUCLEUS IS PERMANENTLY DESTROYED. The agent further functioning like a detergent, finally produces tiny little fat particles which is absobed by the lymph system.
This is transported to the Liver where the break down products are biotransformed and excreted in the bowel. The end product is CO 2 and H 2O, a small amount (less than 1%) is excreted via the renal system in the form of very short-chained fatty acids. Areas of Concern ideal for correction: Upper arms - triceps, Breastroll, Upper Backroll, Lower Backroll, Hip roll, Upper Abdomen, Lower Abdomen, Inner Thigh, Side of the hips, Inner knee area.
NUMBER OF TREATMENTS PLANNED
The thickness of the fat layer, the area treated as well as the size of the area all plys an important role determining the number of treatments planned. This will be discussed in detail with you during your consultation with our Doctor.
TREATMENT: SIDE-EFFECTS
Temporarily swelling/ oedema of the skin Erythema of certain treatment areas. (redness due to increased flow/ rushing of blood to the skin - similar to what you would see after injury or irritation of the skin - this is indeed the trigger for an excellent collagen and skin regeneration)
Discomfort and pain over the treatment lasting 3-4 days.
Would I need time off?
Our Doctor will advice you on this issue depending on the size and location of the area treated. We would always advised at least 3 days rest after this treatment.
