The BEYOND Whitening Accelerator...
We use the BEYOND Whitening Accelerator for a couple of reasons:
- It's the most advanced light filtration system of any power whitening system ensures patient safety and comfort.
- Harmful ultraviolet light and heat are filtered out through a coated optical lens and over 12,000 optical fibers.
- Powerful 150 watt halogen bulb emits a high-intensity blue light (480-520 nanometers wavelength) for faster whitening results.
- Operates at a lower temperature than similar products, increasing patient comfort levels and decreasing the risk of developing tooth sensitivity.
How it works...in a nutshell.
The BEYOND whitening gel works in two ways:
a) It binds with the plaque molecules on the surface of the teeth and dissolves it leaving a clean, smooth surface so when natural light falls on the teeth you get an even reflection of light.
b) Your tooth enamel contains microtubules. The whitening gel flows into these tubules and bleaches them from the inside, whitening the whole tooth cap.
Is it painful?
Generally one in every fifteen people seems to be a little sensitive to the whitening gel and might experience some discomfort but this is usually a minor pain and nothing to be worried about.
How long does it last?
The duration of your result depends on how well you look after your teeth. Generally it can last for up to 2.5 years when the patient takes good care of their teeth.
